Setting the Record Straight.... Answering Questions & Dispelling Assumptions

An Overview of my Story

I thought I would take the opportunity to clarify some things for the many viewers out there. I have noted this story relayed by some of you in a number of different forums, as well as some of the comments out there.

First of all I would like to again clarify that I am NOT Terri Williams. My real name is Melody Wall. As you can see on the Children's Hospital reports for my child, the last name is "Wall". This story is real and that is why I have chosen to use my real name, because I do not want any deviation from the truth.

Second of all Henning was not my father or my lover. He was a friend of my foster father and used to come over to my foster home almost every day. I knew him through this relationship for 2 years before turning 18 years old and moving out of the foster home to live on my own. I was in grade 12 then, trying to finish my last year of school. I had to find a place a distance from my school in another municipality to be able to afford the rent. I only had $350 per month in welfare and my rent with utilities was $282 + $30 per month for my bus pass to get to school, leaving me only $38 per month for all my other needs. I was so poor I had no phone and often couldn't even scrape together 25 cents to use the pay phone. I went to school and pulled 5 academic courses with no break, no food for breakfast or lunch, and I used to bum paper off other students because I couldn't afford to buy anything.

When I turned 19 years old, I saw Henning's van at the strip bar which was right by the school. I went into the bar and said "It's my birthday, buy me a beer!" From there Henning and I began to develop a friendship that would last another 14 years on top of the 2 years I had already known him from the foster home. I still had my own place, but I often stayed at Hennning's because it was close to the school and he helped me with some of my homework. My own place had no heat, and was a real disgusting hole, with all kinds of bugs, spiders and slugs, and I hated it there. Staying at Henning's gave me a decent place to stay, a good diet, and a support system in a world where I had no one.... other than Henning.

Over time I saw Henning as a father type figure, and later when I had my baby and seperated from her abusive father, Henning would become like a grandfather to my child. Eventually I would start work at Department of National Defence where he had been working for years, and so we drove to and from work together. We had plenty of time to spend together, and he was a huge influence on me. After all I had no one else in the world to be there for me, to teach me things, to lean on for support.... in hind site I realize what easy prey I was and therefore, so was my child.

Henning is NOT a pedophile, he is a SADIST and a DEVIANT.... I have actually been in communication with multiple pedophiles after the police closed the file on my daughter, in order to try and understand them and what had happened to my child. It was the consensus of all the pedophiles on the "Stop Pedophilia", message board, that their illness means that they feel as though they love these children and they view them as adults, having difficulty distinguishing that they are children, but they do seem to realize that following through on their desires for children is most dibilitating to the child, and these such men in this forum were there to seek support to prevent causing such damage to a child. 

Henning on the other hand did much more than sexually abuse my child, HE BOUND HER, AND TORTURED HER! This is not an act of love, it is a sadistic act of someone with BDSM type fantasies, carrying them out on a victim which he can control and have easy access to. My child demonstrated being put into a hog-tie position when showing me one of the holds he had her in. She described her eyes being duct taped open and being poked with a pin, and him sticking pins in her over her body, as well as being bound while he let a spider crawl on her face while he laughed.  She had injuries consistant with such, but I just thought the on-going cyst in her eyelid was some kind of infection and I really didn't know what the little puncture type marks were on her, my child just said she didn't know what they were.... It's not like I would be thinking "Oh my God, Henning must be tying you up and sticking pins in you!" Also Henning had this huge influence on me, and I looked up to him. He often explained away things before I could even comment... he is tricky and very good at it!

This story originates with what happened to my child, the brutality of the sadistic acts that he commited against her, the very graphic and gruesome murders that my child would later depict, including describing acts of cannibalism and drawing skinned female genitalia as the meat she saw her abuser eat. It is with this information that I associate Henning as being responsible for many of the missing/murdered Vancouver, Eastside women, many of whom coincidentally resemble me or other women in his life and not accounted for on the Picton Pig Farm. From there I began to research and able to further associate Henning with more missing/murdered women from the "Highway of Tears".

In 2007 I was finally starting to pull my life together again after 7 years of counselling to cope with what happened to my child. I started digging around again, and contacted the RCMP to let them know I had these hospital reports now supporting my child's abuse, and was there anything they could do, but they said NO. I talked to a different constable than from the original case, and told her some of the weird things about Henning like him driving the van with chains hanging from the ceiling behind the passenger seat, the secret compartment under his bathroom floor and the types of stories my child was telling me. I had typed up a letter with all the details and was going to fax it to her, but I became very overwhelmed dredging up these details again and I never followed through. In that same year I would would watch Robert Graysmith's movie "Zodiac", and honestly I didn't know much about Zodiac before watching the movie. I was not a Zodiac follower, or amateur sleuth or what may you.... ALL I knew was that Zodiac was a story that we talked about as kids sometimes, amongst other interesting stories, like how they never found the Titantic which was supposed to be an unsinkable ship, and stuff like that. I knew something about Zodiac killing people in their cars, and that was it! When I was watching the movie and they showed a copy of one of Zodiac's letter's my REFLEX reaction was to exclaim "That's just how Henning writes!!!"

From that point my curiousity was piqued and so I started researching Zodiac. The first thing I did was go on the internet where I found a bunch of letters that Zodiac wrote at Zodiackiller.com and I printed them off. I got what small samples of handwriting that I still had in my posession and made the comparison. I had retained these samples not knowing if somehow, someday they would ever result in finding any evidence against him for what he had done to my child. I never dreamed that retaining those samples would possibly relate Henning to being Zodiac, at least to the untrained eye. One day I will pay for the handwriting expert, but it is very expensive and I have other forensics to save for as well, because the RCMP don't care! Anyways that would be the extent of my research until January of 2010 when I would again resume my fight for justice, and started researching the Vancouver missing/murdered women. It was then that I discovered the story on "Highway of Tears", which I had never heard about before because the police were "Hush", about it. How could someone be killing for 40 years, and the public not even know about it!  I was astonished to learn that many of the first victims circled an area surrounding his Father's home in 100 Mile House, and I only recently discovered that almost at the end of the stretch along Highway of Tears is a "Herman Lake", where numerous more victims have been found over a 40 year period.

In my research I decided to google the name "Henning Lagies", as I had from time to time over the past 11 years at that point, and nothing ever came up.... Suddenly in January of 2010 results showed in a search under his name, and that is when I found the bizarre story of Henning describing 5 simultaneous whirlwinds touch down in a field of oats in Germany in 1946. I thought that it was a very strange story, and when I saw the stellar map that created the 5 pentagrams in the formation of one large pentagram, I remembered the possible link between Henning and Zodiac with the handwriting, and thought maybe it was perhaps relative. I continued to research both on the BC killings and the Zodiac Killer, and to my amazement I would stumble across more and more "Coincidences", that points Henning as being a viable suspect in the Zodiac killings. There is much more than I have on my blog, and I don't even remember them all off hand, just that I have emailed myself numerous links to things I found in my investigations that I thought to be really weird and possible clues that indeed associate Henning with being the Zodiac Killer.

It may all be coincidental, or perhaps Henning just admired Zodiac and modeled himself after Zodiac, I obviously cannot say for certain, but when you take all these coincidences which don't mean much on their own, and you put them all together and align them with someone who is sadistic enough to bind, rape and torture a child, someone who has likely been killing BC women for the past 40 years, and someone who has indeed proved himself to be very intelligent, organized and meticulous to have gotten away with such heinous crimes for at least 40 years, then I think that it is reasonble to evaluate Henning as not only being a viable suspect for the BC Killings, but perhaps even Zodiac himself.  What goes beyond coincidence I think is how the age progressed composite of Zodiac looks exactly like him and how Henning's writing is so similar to Zodiac, and even the "Vancouver Bus Stop", letters just so happens to bear resemblance to writing from both Henning and Zodiac???  When you put this all together you at minimum have to see why I would think it is possible that Henning is Zodiac, and perhaps maybe he really is.

If you take the legend out of Zodiac, he is just another serial killer amongst many who have gone undetected for decades, but like many of those serial killers, there is still opportunity for him to be caught before he dies.... It is reasonable to believe, that in light of this circumstantial evidence that perhaps Zodiac was a Canadian, who traveled 1000 miles from Vancouver, Canada to San Francisco California, where he had family living, and tested the waters by making his first killings that would name him the Zodiac Killer. It is also reasonable to believe that that same man stopped traveling into the US, perhaps when border crossings became more strict, and continued his killings along the Highway of Tears, as far as 1000 miles up, maybe not so coincidentally to Herman Lake area in British Columbia. This would be in keeping with the suspect traveling distances away from his personal location into areas where he had family in both the US and Canada, to disassociate himself with the crimes, as well as creating an alibi for why he was in these areas should anyone have seen him....

I have read some comments about me being another Deborah Perez type, amongst several out there once again claiming that their father or even Uncle Bubba.... was the Zodiac killer. I really don't see myself as being anything like those people. For one I haver NEVER claimed with certainty that Henning is Zodiac as everyone else has. I have been straight forward, and forthcoming with many details as to why I think this is possible, and have proven the suspect to be violent, not just some guy who was my dad or uncle whom I suddenly claim out of the blue, for no real apparent reasons is Zodiac... I am not even sure about Deborah, all I can find is that she figured she found Zodiac's glasses in her father's things when he passed away??? I really don't get it.. how does one go from snooping through their father's things to relating that person to being Zodiac? As I said, I was not a Zodiac follower, I hardly knew anything of Zodiac at all, and it was through TRAGIC circumstances that I would relate Henning to being a killer in Canada, which 8 years later would open my eyes to that same killer possibly being the Zodiac Killer because I recognized the handwriting. Now me saying I recognized the handwriting, obviously does not make me a handwriting expert, I am just saying in "General", terms, just like you recognize a face, the scent, or even the walk of a person, that I recognized the handwriting as what I know of how Henning wrote. In my research I also discovered that Zodiac's peculiar style, thoughts, and phrasing were very similar to the way Henning spoke... like always using the word "Shall", referring to the Exorcist as being a comedy, giving me a Christmas card that said "Happy Christmass", spelled that way, and numerous other things, that are hard to really put a finger on, but you just recognize a pattern in thinking like you would recognize a person's accent or something.

There is far more than I could ever explain on this blog, but I will continue to add updates, until my book is published..... it will literally take a book to really explain this whole story, as I can see that there are many different questions from all of you being posted out there, questions about me, this guy, how did he get away with this, how I knew him, why he was so involved in my life, how do I relate him to being a killer, etc, etc. There are too many details to share to make sense out of all of this, but in time it will come, and when you have opportunity to put all the pieces of the puzzle together right from the time that I was born, in 1967, during the "Birth", of Zodiac, to the time that I would publically begin to share these details as Henning Lagies being a viable suspect as the Zodiac Killer, and him continuing to kill 100's more in Canada over the past 40 years, you will understand that I am not some crazy person, or someone looking for attention for myself, or what may you.... I am a real person, with real tragic circumstances, and a real story....
